Introduction

Project Overview

The project Hisense was to revamp the company’s website for rebranding purposes and to enhance the overall site experience.

This project’s responsibilities included the following:

  • Rebuilding the existing website’s user-centric experience.
  • Meeting the constantly evolving trend.
  • Rebranding the middle east region website.

Also, the redesigned website should be aligned with the brand’s identity and guidelines.

Client Requirements

As Hisense is the official sponsor of the FIFA world cup 2022 to be held in Qatar, they wanted to align their branding towards the sponsorship.

They needed help with the slow-functioning website due to outdated and unstructured content and an unaligned navigation structure. Hence, they wanted to migrate the website to a more user-friendly CMS.

The client reached out to us with the requirement to redesign their website with a completely new look to facilitate a seamless user interface. In addition, they also needed our post-launch support and decided to use the UI of their Global website.

Challenges Faced

Since our client wanted to scale the website to support the increasing traffic load, the main challenge was selecting a suitable server that could pertain to website performance.

Additionally, we expect the traffic load will increase on the website during the FIFA world cup. Thus, in order to run the campaigns smoothly on the website, the server must manage the platform.

Therefore, we implemented Amazon EC2 auto-scaling to meet changing demand.

Solutions

Our Solutions

  • Zero 1

    Developed on WordPress

After briefing the expectations, we had a team discussion where everyone gave their suggestions and inputs on the ideas. Finally, we agreed to develop the website on WordPress.

  • Zero 2

Personalized Solutions to Middle East Users

We expected that Middle East users would mainly use the site; it required Arabic translation and RTL (Right To Left) layout in the website. Hence, we integrated the WPML plugin of WordPress to manage the site.

  • Zero 3

    Managed Website Traffic

We analyzed that the website traffic will be high during the FIFA World Cup, and it has to manage the traffic load properly. Hence, we suggested AWS with a scalable auto server for the website to handle the traffic.

  • Zero 4

    Content Management

We have taken complete responsibility for managing the content of their website, such as integrating the product catalog and updating banners, images, icons, headings, etc.

  • Zero 5

    Improved Site Performance

We re-aligned the website as per the client’s marketing strategies, keeping the FIFA world cup campaigns in check. Also, we optimize the site performance to drive traffic and make it responsive to all screen sizes (Mobile, Tablet, Desktop, etc.).

  • Zero 6

    Website Support and Maintenance

We have signed an AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) with Hisense to provide them needed support, resources, and expertise to maintain the functionality and user experience of the website.

  • Zero 7

    Developing Microsites

In addition to the website, we have designed the B2B product pages for Hisense, which are required to run campaigns during the FIFA world cup.
